What is DAC7?
DAC7 is a European Union (EU) directive (Directive 2021/514), that requires digital platforms to share certain information about their sellers to the tax authorities. This law applies to all EU countries (including Spain, Italy and Portugal).
The purpose of this law is to increase transparency and improve information sharing between platforms like ours and tax authorities in the EU.
Starting from 1 January 2023, Wallapop has been required to gather, check, and report information with the tax authorities about certain sellers that use our platform (see section below). This information must be collected and verified each calendar year (from 1st January to 31st December each year) and must be reported by Wallapop no later than the 31st of January of the following year.
Which sellers are affected by DAC7?
Those sellers who using Wallapop’s transactional services (like our wallet or shipping) during the calendar year, have either:
- sold 30 items or more, or
- received more than EUR 2,000 from sales.
If any of these apply, we'll contact you by email and notification centre to complete the fields with the required information.

If this happens, we'll ask you to provide these documents.
