How can I report illegal content at Wallapop?
At Wallapop, in line with the obligations set out in the DSA At Wallapop, we care about the safety of our community. Therefore, in line with the Digital Services Act (DSA) (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), Wallapop has created a form so that anyone can inform us about the existence of illegal content on our platform.
To do so, you must contact us through the form available at the end of this page.
Which type of content I can report?
This form is only available for notifying us about illegal content you have found on our platform.
Illegal content refers to any information and/or content published on the platform that is unlawful under the applicable laws of a country.
In the form, you will be able to indicate the specific reason why you consider the content to be illegal.
Please note that any report submitted through this form that does not concern illegal content on our platform might not be processed.
If you wish to report a different issue or content that simply does not comply with our internal rules, you can use the following channels:
- If the product violates our community rules: Click directly on the “Report product” button that you will find within the listing itself. You can find more details here.
- If you want to report another user’s behaviour: We explain how to do so here.
What information should I provide in the form?
To ensure that we can properly review your report and process it as quickly as possible, you must include:
- Your details: first name, last name, and contact email address.
- A direct link to the illegal content on the platform: if you are reporting an item, you must provide a link to that item. If you are reporting a review or conversation containing illegal content, you must provide a link to the user's profile. If you do not provide a direct link, we will not be able to locate the content you are asking us to review. You may include up to 20 links in a single form, provided they are all being reported for the same legal reason. If the reasons differ, you will need to submit separate forms.
- Your reasons: select the category that best matches your report from the list provided and give us a clear and detailed explanation in the “Description” field.
- Evidence: you must provide sufficient evidence demonstrating that the content you are reporting is illegal. We need well-founded arguments in order to make a decision. Please note that we cannot base our decisions solely on information external to the platform that we are unable to verify.
- Are you a Trusted Flagger? If you represent an entity officially accredited under the DSA, remember to select the “Trusted Flagger” option. If you are an individual user, you must select the “registered user or visitor” option. Selecting the wrong option by mistake will prevent your report from being processed correctly. You can find more information about Trusted Flaggers on the European Commission’s official website.
What happens after reporting illegal content?
Our moderation team will review your request and determine whether the reported content is illegal or not. We will send you an email informing you of our decision:
- Report accepted: the content you reported is illegal, and our moderation team will remove it from Wallapop.
- Report declined: the content you reported is not illegal, or you have not provided sufficient information for us to process the report.
This decision is final within this channel. Please note that submitting repeated requests regarding cases that have already been closed will not result in a new review of the content. Any reopening requests will be treated as spam by our team. Also, in line with Article 23 of the DSA, Wallapop may suspend the processing of your reports if you frequently submit unfounded, fraudulent, or abusive reports, including those sent through different accounts associated with your identity.
If you do not agree with the outcome of your case, do not worry, you may request a review through our appeal process. You can find more information here.
